Contemporary art exhibition o8 o9 @Villa Chiozza FVG
The mulberry tree has always been a distinctive feature of the landscape of Friuli; in the past just at Scodovacca, which now houses the headquarter of the Regional Agency for Agricultural Development, eng. Luigi Chiozza developed disease studies involving this species. Today the agency continues, in a sense, the research work of the engineer Chiozza.
Inspired by three specimen of mulberries that are within the court of the Villa, the usage's memory of these leaves, which are the fundamental basis for the feeding of the silkworm, is taken up and interpreted in a modern key. Thus, during the event, in winter, when everything is bare, it will remain on the ground on a bed of gravel the memory of these leaves, so useful to agricultural development in the past.
